DECK STORY

When I went to Italy last year, I didn’t expect to come back changed. Standing among the ruins and temples, I felt pulled into the world of Greek and Roman myths. 

Back home, that spark grew into a full-blown obsession. I couldn’t stop reading about the gods, the heroes, the strange and beautiful stories. And the more I read, the more I saw how they lined up with tarot: Persephone’s descent and return was Death, the card of endings that lead to rebirth. Apollo’s Pythia at Delphi was The High Priestess, the voice of hidden wisdom. Hephaestus at his forge was The Magician, turning raw material into vision.

I loved Rome so much that I even went back for my honeymoon. There’s something about walking through those streets, seeing layers of history all around you, that makes the myths feel alive again.

As someone on the spectrum, I often fall deep into the things I love. That focus became the heart of this project. I started imagining how these myths could live again through tarot, how the archetypes in the cards and the figures in the stories could mirror one another.

I haven’t been doing this alone. A handful of incredible artists have been working with me (and are still working!) to bring the deck to life. Even though we’re different people with different hands, we’ve all stayed within the same style so the deck feels like one complete world, not a jumble of voices. Those artists are:
